Celebrity Big Brother UK Season 9 (2012)

The most recent episode occurred the evening of January 6, 2011. It was the season opener, dubbed the "Launch Episode." All the contestants were introduced and lead into the house by presenter, Brian Dowling. Lindsay Lohan was rumored to be among the initial occupants but that rumor turned out to be false. Natalie Cassidy was the first housemate to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house. She was displeased with the decor and within the first minute she was called into the diary room for a secret task. She was given an ear piece so that Big Brother could privately give her instructions to make her housemates uncomfortable. Big Brother informed her that she must carry out each task and that nobody must figure out that she's on a secret task otherwise housemates would lose their luggage and all personal items for an unspecified length of time.

Michael Madsen (known for Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill, and many other films) was the second housemate to enter the Big Brother house. He has never seen the show before and doesn't know what to expect. He seemed visibly annoyed only moments after entering the house as the reality of his adventure set in. Immediately, Big Brother instructed Natalie Cassidy via earpiece to tell Michael Madsen that she loved him in Free Willy. She did and he was surprised because most people mention his more nefarious roles. Big Brother instructed Natalie to refer to Michael as "Free Willy" while telling him how crazy the whole situation is, and say, "Give me a high-five, Free Willy." She complied with both making Michael even more visibly annoyed.

The other housemates entered in what seemed like an uneventful launch show. Frankie Cocozza from The X Factor was the first housemate to be booed by the crowd upon entering. He is the youngest housemate and Natalie was already tasked with kissing him on the lips by way of Big Brother's secret task. She carried it out flawlessly but hesitated when Big Brother asked her to come on to him further as she was concerned for his feelings. She went through with it anyways.

Denise Welch was the last housemate to enter the Big Brother house. Natalie was tasked to get all the housemates in a circle holding hands. Then she was to make a motivational speech and cry afterwards. The housemates thought she was crazy but eventually gave in and held hands. Natalie gave her speech but could not seem to cry. Big Brother told her twice again that she must cry. Natalie asked Denise Welch for a hug and began to cry.

Brian Dowling mentioned the first live eviction would occur Wednesday, January 11, 2012.
